Marfuga Magnum R, Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1.5L Gift Box | Umbria, Italy
PRODUCT DETAILS
Marfuga Riserva Magnum 1.5L Gift Box: Umbria's Riserva in Its Largest Format
This is the same Marfuga Riserva that has carried the estate's name for years, in the biggest bottle Marfuga makes for it. One 1.5 litre magnum, presented in Marfuga's black gift box, ready to hand over without any additional wrapping.
The oil is made from Moraiolo and Frantoio olives, picked by hand in Marfuga's own groves at Campello sul Clitunno and Trevi, then cold extracted at the estate's mill. Azienda Agraria Marfuga has been producing oil from these groves since 1817, and the Riserva is the selection the family reserves for its own label. It is classified as superior category olive oil, obtained directly from olives using only mechanical processes.
Nivitaly imports this directly from Marfuga in Umbria and holds it in controlled storage in Abu Dhabi before dispatch, so the bottle arrives in the condition it left the estate.
Origin
Campello sul Clitunno sits in the province of Perugia, in the heart of Umbria, along the limestone slopes that have produced olive oil since Etruscan times. Marfuga owns the groves, runs the mill, and bottles on site, so nothing in the chain passes through a third party. The estate lies close to the Tempietto sul Clitunno, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and that connection to the territory runs through the brand's packaging.
Flavour Profile
Green with golden highlights. The taste is fruity with clear bitter and spicy notes, opening with a fresh herbaceous aroma and dominant hints of artichoke and thistle. Bitterness and spiciness stay balanced against each other, and the finish carries a complex vegetable character closing on mild green almond.

Best Uses
Marfuga recommends the Riserva raw, over legume and vegetable soups, or drizzled on red meat and delicate fish such as sea bass, gilthead bream and snapper. It also works with fresh cheese, plain rice, and pasta finished with parmesan shavings.
The magnum size changes who this is for. A 1.5 litre bottle is not an occasional bottle. It suits households that finish dishes with good oil every day, kitchens that want one consistent oil across the menu, and gifting where a standard bottle would feel too modest.

Storage Instructions
Store sealed and upright in a cool, dark cupboard, away from the hob, the oven and direct sunlight. Heat and light are what dull a good oil, and both are harder to avoid in the UAE climate. A magnum lasts longer than a small bottle, so close the cap firmly after every use and keep it out of the warmest part of the kitchen.
Why Nivitaly Selected This Product
Nivitaly works directly with Italian producers instead of buying through anonymous distributors, and Marfuga clears that standard on every count: an estate that owns its groves, mills its own fruit, and can account for the harvest. The magnum exists for a simple reason. Customers who found an oil they trusted asked for it in a size that lasts.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much oil is in a magnum bottle?
1.5 litres, which is three times a standard 500ml bottle. It is the largest size Marfuga offers for the Riserva.
What does Marfuga Riserva taste like?
Fruity with balanced bitter and spicy notes, a fresh herbaceous aroma, dominant artichoke and thistle hints, and a mild green almond finish.
Has Marfuga Riserva won any awards?
Yes. The Riserva line has been recognised internationally, including Best EVOO of the Year in the FLOS OLEI 2021 Guide and first place at the Monte Carlo Master of Olive Oil Contest 2021.
Is this suitable as a corporate or personal gift?
Yes. It ships in Marfuga's own black gift box and needs no extra packaging. The format works for executive gifting, hospitality partners, and occasions where a standard bottle would look too small.
How long will a 1.5 litre bottle stay fresh after opening?
Olive oil is at its best within a few months of opening, so a magnum suits a household or kitchen that uses oil regularly. Keep it sealed and away from heat and light between uses.
Can restaurants and hotels order this in volume?
Yes. Nivitaly supplies restaurants, hotels, cafes and caterers across the UAE. Trade pricing is shared after a short review of your requirements through the wholesale enquiry page.
