Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Premium Italian extra virgin olive oil should tell you three things before you buy it: who grew the olives, when they were harvested, and how the oil was extracted. Most bottles on a UAE supermarket shelf answer none of them. Every oil in this collection is cold extracted and imported directly by Nivitaly from named Italian estates, with the producer, region and olive variety stated on each product page. We import, store and dispatch from Abu Dhabi, so the bottle that reaches your kitchen has not spent months in an uncontrolled warehouse.

Named Italian Producers, Not Anonymous Blends

The phrase "product of Italy" tells you almost nothing. A named estate tells you a great deal. This collection brings together Marfuga from Campello sul Clitunno in Umbria, a family estate producing since 1817, Calaforno from the Val di Noto in Sicily, organic certified and made from the indigenous Tonda Iblea cultivar, Principe Primo from Ragusa, hand harvested and cold extracted on the same day, and Donna Francesca from Puglia. Villa Dei Conti is Nivitaly's own label, produced in Umbria by Marfuga. You can read exactly how each producer is selected on our sourcing standards page, or go estate by estate on the producers page.

Which Extra Virgin Olive Oil Should You Buy?

The right bottle depends entirely on how you cook, and this is where most buyers go wrong.

Bold, peppery oils with a distinct throat tingle are finishing oils. Use them raw, where you can actually taste them: over salads, grilled vegetables, soups, pulses, burrata and warm bread. A milder, rounder oil is the better everyday choice for sauteing, roasting and general cooking, where you want quality without the flavour taking over. Plenty of UAE households keep both, and that is a sensible way to buy.

Our guides on the best olive oil for cooking and the best olive oil for salads break this down dish by dish. For a full walkthrough of grades, harvest dates and cultivars before you commit, read our 2026 Italian extra virgin olive oil buying guide.

Storing Olive Oil in UAE Heat

Heat and light are what turn a good oil flat, and the Gulf climate is unforgiving on both counts. Keep bottles sealed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from the hob and the window. Buy a size you will realistically finish within a few months of opening rather than the largest tin on the shelf, because an oil that sits half used for a year is poor value at any price. Our guide on how to store olive oil in UAE heat covers this in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Italian extra virgin olive oil to buy in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?

There is no single best bottle. Choose extra virgin from a named producer with a recent harvest date, then match the style to your cooking: bold and peppery for finishing, milder for everyday use. Buying from a seller that stores stock in controlled conditions matters just as much in the UAE climate.

How is extra virgin olive oil different from regular olive oil?

Extra virgin olive oil is produced by mechanical means only, with no refining and no chemical treatment. Labels such as pure, light or classic describe refined oils that sit below extra virgin in quality, not above it. Our guide on extra virgin versus regular olive oil explains the difference.

Do you deliver outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Nivitaly ships across all seven emirates from our Abu Dhabi facility, with free delivery on orders above AED 150.
